Vilda sings praises of 'impeccable' Spain

It was a tremendous performance. We played much better and the result reflects our superiority. We're very happy and satisfied but won't get too carried away as we have to return to this level or better in three days' time to get to the final.

Our goal was to win the group and we went for it from the first moment. We pressured them well, won the ball and had enough composure to pass it well and cause them problems. We cancelled them out at the back, we dealt with their diagonal balls and were alert to picking up the second balls too.

It's an enormous satisfaction. I've not seen the statistics but we must have been way in front in terms of shots on goal. We might have won by even more if we'd been more clinical, but I was just delighted to see us create as many chances as we did.

It wasn't just the goalscorers, but the whole team. It was an impeccable performance by everyone and only the second time a female Spanish team has beaten Germany.

To lose is always disappointing but to lose in this way is very, very disappointing for us. We know Spain are a good, skilful team and that we had to give our best but we never played with the same passion or confidence as we did against France. Our tension levels were a bit down because we were already qualified for the semi-finals; we had talked about this but didn't get them up to play against Spain.

We changed our team in three positions [Jana Löber, Saskia Matheis and Melanie Ott all came in] and it gave some players the chance to show what they can do and be in the lineup for the next game. In this sense [Germany's early] qualification was a good thing but the result was very disappointing for us. It's the heaviest defeat of my career as Germany coach.

[On Jasmin Sehan's injury] At the moment it looks serious. I can't give you any information about the injury but it doesn't look so good at the moment.
