Meet champions Frankfurt with Kerstin Garefrekes

Kerstin Garefrekes introduces champions 1. FFC Frankfurt: who is awake for breakfast, who pushes to the front of the food queue, who sources the sushi and whose dog is famous?

FFC Frankfurt captain Kerstin Garefrekes introduces her side.

1 Desirée Schumann, goalkeeper
Our No1. She has had to contend with a few injuries, but if she plays then she is in peak condition and is fully focused and awake between the posts. She is also the most awake player on away trips – she is always among the first at the breakfast table.

2 Alina Ortega Jurado, forward
Alina is one of the young players in our squad who train with us. She is very talented, but she has been mostly playing in our Under-23 team.

3 Laura Störzel, defender
Laura joined us at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately she hasn't played too often this term. But she has been totally motivated in every training session, she is always funny and always gives her best.

4 Kathrin-Julia Hendrich, defender
Kathrin came from Leverkusen at the start of the campaign. She always has a smile on her face. She laughs a lot, and you can always have fun with her and be in good spirits.

6 Saskia Matheis, midfielder
Saskia is one of the young players who has also been injured a lot. She has been finding her way back into the squad, step by step.

7 Verónica Boquete, midfielder
'Vero' is an international star, she is a famous player all over the world. She is our Spanish tornado. Technically she is perfect, she is an excellent dribbler and very dangerous in front of goal. She is a real asset for any team.

8 Kim Kulig, midfielder
Kim unfortunately has been injured since the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011. She's had to undergo lots of surgery and has been through a very hard time, but we certainly keep our fingers crossed that she will be fit and training with us again soon.

9 Célia Šašić, forward
Célia is also well-known on the international stage. She is a top goalscorer and I hope she will be as clinical in the final as she has been all season.

10 Dzsenifer Marozsán, midfielder
One of the outstanding talents here in Germany right now. She is technically perfect, she has a great shot, a great finish, and is the heart of our game.

11 Simone Laudehr, midfielder
A very experienced player who is also my room-mate – she is a bit like my right hand and someone I talk to a lot.

13 Marith Priessen, defender
Marith also came from Leverkusen at the beginning of the season. In the first half of term she trained really hard but didn't play much. But she stayed patient and got her chance, taking advantage in a very convincing way. Now she has been enjoying a run in the team and is doing very well.

14 Kozue Ando, midfielder
Our Japanese international. She is a very nice person, and as she has very good contacts between Germany and Japan, we are always very well served with sushi and Japanese food!

15 Svenja Huth, forward
Svenja suffered a bad knee injury last season but has been back this term. She is also a little tornado and is quite unpredictable in her game. She makes sure that our team kitty is always full.

16 Jessica Reinhardt, midfielder
Jessica is another of the younger players. She's started to study law, so she is the one who can tell us what the law says in certain situations.

17 Mandy Islacker, forward
Mandy is an attacking player, very dangerous in front of goal and with a great left foot. She is quite well known thanks to her dog Amy.

18 Kerstin Garefrekes, midfielder
That's me ... I think other people should say!

19 Valentina Limani, forward
Vale Limani is one of the younger players, who has already played for us here and there. She has made a good impression and I am excited to see her develop further.

21 Ana Maria Crnogorčević, forward
Ana Maria is our Swiss international. She mainly plays on the wing to take advantage of her speed and show her qualities there. If somebody is looking for the address of a good restaurant or place to go out, just ask her as she always has a good recommendation.

22 Jana Löber, defender
Jana has been training with us, like Vale Limani. She's even played for us in the Champions League, and even got a goal, scoring from the penalty spot in a very convincing way.

23 Bianca Schmidt, defender
The first thing that comes to mind is that she is always first at the buffet and has her food on her plate first – but when I see how much she runs, up and down, like our running machine, she deserves all that food as she burns it off on the pitch.

25 Saskia Bartusiak, defender
Saskia has been injured all season, having suffered a very bad injury at the end of last term. But she has just played her first match back. She is a very important player for us in defence and also as an experienced personality on the pitch. She is a player I am happy to see back in our team. She brings stability, and her advice and opinions are always beneficial.

27 Peggy Kuznik, defender
Peggy is our defensive rock yet is also very dangerous going forward. She has scored a lot of goals from the back. And she's not just strong as a defender, but also in introducing penalties and fines to be paid into our team kitty.

30 Anne-Kathrine Kremer, goalkeeper
Anka is a goalkeeper in our squad, but she is our secret weapon too. If a game is very tight, I can picture our coach putting her up front. She is just outstanding in training, she scores a lot of incredible goals there, and I am excited to see what will happen with her.

31 Anke Preuss, goalkeeper
Anke is another of our goalkeepers. She is still young and, I think, a very sociable person who gives her opinion in discussions, maybe also representing the shyer and quieter players who would maybe not give their opinion so easily. I have the impression Anke stands up more for herself and the others.
