UEFA Women's Champions League debutants Tyresö FF have been handed a tie with another ambitious club, Paris Saint-Germain FC, after the draws for the rounds of 32 and 16 threw up some big encounters.

Swedish champions Tyresö, who have Marta among their all-star squad, were unseeded as they have not played in Europe before, and it could hardly have been tougher against another side who have recruited widely, PSG. It is not much easier for the other Swedish side, FCR Malmö, as they play Norwegian champiosn LSK Kvinner FK in the round of 32 on 9/10 and 16/17 October.

Holders VfL Wolfsburg meet the first Estonian side to make it this far, Pärnu JK, while the team the German champions deposed in London last year, Olympique Lyonnais, take on FC Twente. Two other former winners were in the draw: Arsenal LFC play WFC SSHVSM Kairat and MTK Hungária FC are 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam's opponents.

In the round of 16 in November, also drawn today, Potsdam and Lyon will replay their 2010 and 2011 final meetings if they both get through. Wolfsburg, if they progress, meet LSK or Malmö.

That round will be held on 9/10 and 13/14 November and the two-legged knockout system continues until the final on 22 May in Lisbon, two days before the men's UEFA Champions League decider at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. It will be the fifth one-off final under the current format, with the previous four matching Lyon against a German club.
