The 56th edition of the competition, and the 18th since it became the UEFA Europa League, will conclude at Stadion Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany.

The home stadium of Eintracht Frankfurt, the venue hosted five matches at UEFA EURO 2024 – four group stage games and the round of 16 encounter between Portugal and Slovenia, which Portugal edged on penalties. The stadium also hosted games at the 2006 World Cup and 2011 Women's World Cup.

Will there be extra time and penalties in the Europa League final?

If scores are level at the end of normal time, two 15-minute periods of extra time are played. If one of the teams scores more goals than the other during extra time, that team are declared the winners. If scores remain level after extra time, the winners are determined by a penalty shoot-out.

History of Stadion Frankfurt

• The home of two-time UEFA Cup/Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt, Stadion Frankfurt (sometimes known as the Waldstadion) has been standing in its current location since 1925, but has been renovated several times, reopening in 1937, 1953, 1972 and 2005.
• The venue hosted five games at both the 1974 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, as well as two matches at the 1988 UEFA European Championship, and five more at UEFA EURO 2024. It also staged the 1966 Track Cycling World Championships and Muhammad Ali's heavyweight boxing encounter with Karl Mildenberger the same year.
• Part of a major sporting complex owned by the City of Frankfurt, the stadium has its own railway station plus a swimming pool, a tennis complex, a beach volleyball court and a winter sports hall.
• Plenty of major artists have performed at the stadium, including Bruce Springsteen, U2, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, Metallica and The Weeknd.
