RSC Anderlecht are through to the UEFA Europa League round of 32 as Group L winners after coming from behind to overwhelm an FC Lokomotiv Moskva side who also qualify from the section.

With both sides already through to the next stage, Lokomotiv's incentive was to win by three clear goals to be sure of pipping Ariël Jacobs's side to top spot but, although the visitors took the lead through Vladislav Ignatyev, it was Anderlecht who scored freely, Sacha Kljestan and Fernando turning the tie around in the first half before Marcin Wasilewski, Matías Suárez and Guillaume Gillet struck after the break. Substitute Dmitri Sychev's double only marginally reduced the arrears.

The hosts made a promising start when Gillet tested Anton Amelchenko with a third-minute curler, but the Russian side soon came out of their shells, Ignatyev controlling Andrei Ivanov's long ball and finishing coolly. Lokomotiv, needing two more goals to leapfrog their opponents, were caught out on the break when Behrang Safari's cross was only cleared as far as Kljestan, who sent the ball into the far corner. Les Mauves then took the lead as Fernando threaded his first goal for the club through Amelchenko's legs.

Anderlecht moved through the gears in the second half, extending their advantage when Amelchenko came out to clear Lukáš Mareček's free-kick only to miss his punch and enable Wasilewski to improvise an overhead kick. Soon afterwards Suárez was heading in Milan Jovanović's left-wing cross for his seventh UEFA Europa League goal.

Gillet then managed a fifth strike of the campaign, beating the exposed Amelchenko easily, as the visitors failed to deal with a long ball upfield from goalkeeper Silvio Proto. By then Sychev had scored a penalty for José Couceiro's side after a foul by Cheikhou Kouyaté on Ignatyev, and the substitute doubled his tally in the final minute, but the real consolation for Lokomotiv – who had Ivanov dismissed late on – is a place in the next round.
