As EURO 2020 moves into the knock-out stages, we’ve summarised all the information you need as a spectator. Whether you’re travelling from abroad or just want to know about COVID-19 related stadium entry requirements – we’ve got you covered.
Tickets
❓ Will tickets be available for the knock-out rounds?
Yes! Tickets will be sold with priority to the fans of the participating teams. In case tickets remain, they will be publicly sold closer to the match. Fans that had tickets for the respective match before will be informed first. Keep an eye on euro2020.com/tickets.
COVID-19 related travel restrictions
✈️ Will I be able to travel to a EURO 2020 host country from abroad?
COVID-19 related travel restrictions are ever-changing, so you may find it very difficult to plan your travel to a host city from abroad.
Even if you’ve already attended a match in the group phase, be sure to keep checking for updates.
Please keep in mind the border entry restrictions and enforced requirements at the time of travel. For the majority of host countries, no exemptions will be made for ticket holders. Entry requirements may include the obligation to quarantine, provide a negative COVID-19 test result, etc. In some cases, entry to a host country from abroad may not be permitted at all.

⚽ What are the stadium capacities for the knock-out stages?
Each stadium will have a different capacity depending on the local regulations.
- Saint Petersburg and Baku have confirmed capacities of 50%, while Copenhagen has confirmed 73.5%.
- Budapest will host 100% of the stadium capacity.
- Amsterdam, Bucharest, Glasgow, Rome and Seville will be hosting 25%–45% of the stadium capacity.
- London will host 21,500 fans for the first round of 16 match. The capacity will increase to 50% for the second round of 16 match, and to 75% for the semi-finals and final.
- Munich have confirmed 14,500 spectators, corresponding to approximately 22% of the stadium capacity.
✅ How were the decisions around stadium capacities made?
The decisions were taken by the hosts. The key indicator was the projection of an improved health situation in their host countries. Many factors were taken into consideration, including the local vaccination rollout, their plans for reopening the economy and the expected slow-down of the virus due to warmer temperatures.
In many countries, UEFA EURO 2020 had already been part of their national recovery strategy.
In addition, UEFA has worked closely with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to adapt the WHO COVID-19 risk assessment tool for EURO 2020.
COVID-19 Measures
😷 What health and safety measures will be in place at the stadiums?
Our main priority is to deliver a safe EURO for everyone. Reducing the risk of an infection is our shared responsibility, so we've implemented some new rules.
Each ticket holder will be assigned a dedicated 30-minute entry time slot to arrive at the stadium. You'll also need to wear a face mask at all times. Other measures may include temperature checks or COVID-19 rapid tests, but every stadium is a little bit different.
