UEFA EURO 2024 is all about bringing people together through the beautiful game. The tournament's official slogan, United by Football. Vereint im Herzen Europas. reminds us that the sport we all love is for everybody, regardless of age, race, ability or background.

With that in mind, we are working hard to make sure as many people as possible can enjoy the action and soak up the atmosphere at each of the ten venues, fan zones and host cities.

Below, we outline the accessibility measures we are taking to guarantee that the tournament provides a welcoming environment for everyone.

Stadium facilities

Accessibility info points

All ten venues will have dedicated accessibility information points to provide supporters with the help they need. Be sure to check our Event Guides to find out exactly where they are at each stadium.

Audio-descriptive commentary

To enhance inclusivity, all 51 matches at EURO 2024 will feature audio-descriptive commentary (ADC) in both German and the languages of the competing teams, or English when the latter are not available, fostering a more immersive experience for blind and visually impaired fans. A web-based solution means fans at home can also use ADC services using the official EURO 2024 app.

Accessible concessions

Feeling hungry but worried about the queues? No problem, because we have introduced a priority lane for wheelchair users near accessible seating areas at all ten stadiums.

Assistance dogs

Specific seats are reserved at every stadium for supporters who rely on the help of an assistance dog. To ensure a smooth experience at the match it’s best to let us know in advance. The easiest way is to reach out to our customer service team.

Tournament travel

On matchday, public transport will be the most convenient way to get around, and all EURO 2024 match ticket holders are entitled to a 36-hour travel pass on the public transport network at the match location at no additional cost. They can also enjoy discounted Deutsche Bahn train tickets and international rail passes during the tournament to travel to Germany and between host cities.

On long-distance trains, wheelchair spaces must be booked in advance, and where relevant, it is recommended to always select a ticket that allows sufficient connection times when changing trains.

Deutsche Bahn has a dedicated Mobility Service Centre (MSZ) to support you with your planning, and can also organise assistance for boarding, transferring or getting off a train.

Disability access officers and sustainability volunteers

All 24 qualified teams have appointed a dedicated disability access officer (DAO), whose role is to support the UEFA venue team liaising with disabled national team supporters. The DAO can provide guidance to help optimise the matchday experience for fans and their companions, including travel advice, venue services and practical information.

Team DAOs will meet with UEFA's sustainability venue managers the day before each match to review accessibility maps, visiting transport and parking points and accessibility seating areas to ensure they are fully familiar and able to give team supporters the best possible advice.

At each venue, we can also count on the support of up to 30 sustainability volunteers to help with our accessibility services. They can be identified by their special bibs, which display an accessibility icon.

Grievance and rapid response mechanisms

We want everybody to enjoy EURO 2024 as much as possible and are committed to upholding human rights at the tournament.

To help us achieve this, we have established a tournament-wide human rights complaint structure (grievance mechanism), which allows anyone to file a report if they believe rights have been violated.

Should you feel harassed, discriminated against, threatened or otherwise vulnerable, please follow the link below to submit a report. Your report will be handled confidentially by a reputable law firm, and you have the option to remain anonymous. You can file a report in any of the languages of the 24 participating teams.

In addition, a rapid response mechanism will also be implemented during EURO 2024. This will supplement the reporting tool by allowing for in-person interaction and intervention within stadiums on match days. If fans feel harassed, discriminated against, threatened or otherwise unsafe, they will be able to reach a dedicated and appropriately trained team on-site to get immediate help. Throughout the stadium, there will be posters highlighting the availability of the rapid response mechanism and providing an opportunity to contact the support team by scanning a QR code. Supporters can also reach the dedicated team through the link below once inside the stadium.

Enhancing accessibility on digital

Both EURO2024.com and the official tournament app have undergone significant improvements to ensure accessibility for fans. Screen readers now interpret the appearance of our content seamlessly, benefitting visually impaired users. Additionally, the app dynamically adjusts to resizing text. You can look forward to these enhanced features on all our digital products in future!
