Le Français a marqué après 16 minutes, de la tête, sur un corner de Robin van Persie. Swansea a égalisé à la demi-heure, par son milieu de terrain espagnol, après que David De Gea eut repoussé une frappe de Jonathan De Guzmán.
Dans l'autre match de dimanche, le Chelsea FC a atomisé l'Aston Villa FC 8-0 pour revenir à quatre points du Manchester City FC, qui occupe la 2e place.
